Water quality is the secret to successful fish keeping!

Surprisingly enough, there are a lot of people who think to keep fish you just put them in water and away you go,If only it where that simple. Fish being creatures of the of the planet have a place and there own habitat and conditions which enables them to survive.

Then that’s no different to human’s, so it is only right that they should be given the same care and consideration.

There are many experts in the fields of the Aquatic world ,who dedicate there lives to obtaining and sharing their findings and knowledge, in the hope of educating and identifying the conditions in which are fish can live and breed in a controlled environment.

Water that comes direct from the tap differs all over the world, that is in its scientific make up, so it should not surprise anyone that its exactly the same in the UK. So it would be fare to say the best place to start is AT THE TAP.

Test your water to ascertain if its soft or hard, then you can begin to find the solution as to how to create the right water for our aquatic friends.

A well known Discus breeder once said to me “its not rocket science” he is right, it's not, just remember to keep an open mind, humans being as they are have a thirst for knowledge and explore beyond into the unknown, that’s fine so long as the best interests of the fish are kept at all times.

Keepers of the Kings of the Aquarium, breeders and hobbyist’s alike, if you have any serious input, In the view of helping people to achieve the most from keeping these amazing fish, please email your contribution, and with your consent I will publish it on the preview page.

Please understand that genuine articles only will be posted, as it is not for business promotion.
